Booming Hulu
Nielsen has sent out its monthly chart that tracks on-line from various sources, and this one is worth checking. What's most notable here, besides the pretty stunning growth - Nielsen said there were 9.6 billion streams in March "viewed by an estimated 130 million web users," which is a 38.8 percent increase over March 2008.
Where does much of this growth come from? Hulu, which is now ranked behind Youtube as the number-streaming site. Quite a one-year birthday gift for Hulu, AND for NBC and Fox, too. Naturally, this raises the question: How much viewing is going to Hulu that is NOT going to the mother networks?
