Pat O'Brien's Return. Sorta...
At least he's not joining "I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Outta Here."
But it's still early. There's still time left in this day for another interesting press release from NBC.
For now, this one'll do: Pat O'Brien, who's had some problems that were kind of sad and very public, will "re-emerge" - NBC's word, not mine - on a new episode of Oxygen's "Pretty Wicked," which seems like an odd place for anyone to emerge. But everyone's gotta emerge sometime, so...
Per O, "Celebrity journalist Pat O'Brien makes a guest appearance on this week's episode of Oxygen's 'Pretty Wicked,' premiering Tuesday, April 21 at 10pm ET/PT, when he tries to determine just how genuine the ladies are through a series of intense interviews. "
Pat, as you know, left "The Insider" last fall - for reasons unknown; but it had NOTHING to do I imagine with this email he sent to staffers when he was in Iowa covering something-or-other:
" Hi, folks, I just spent a couple of days in Iowa—I'm a little bit of a favorite son there and I spoke with maybe a thousand people and was very hands-on. Even Joe Biden said, 'You should be running [for president]!' But what I came away with was, these people can't afford gas, books, food or schools or movies!
"I was approached a hundred times by people asking, 'Can you help us?' I tried to tell them we care, but they didn't buy it. They wanted to, but watching...Lara [Spencer] pick out accessories makes the viewers want to vomit. I'll get killed for this, but I'm actually the one not afraid for my job. I want people to be happy."
'Nuf said.
